Coffee Recipe - Dalgona Coffee/ Whipped Coffee

Hi friends! I’ve got a recipe for you! I am sure you may have seen this recipe all over Tik Tok, but if you are as obsessed with Tik Tok as you are with trying a new coffee, this one is for you.


I did some research on what the whipped coffee actually was, and the actual name for it is Dalgona Coffee. Upon some research, I discovered the origin of the drink is under dispute. Many cultures have similar variation to the whipped coffee. It’s so simple it just has three ingredients. Instant coffee, milk and sugar.


So, let’s get down to it! I’m going to be honest with you, I had to tweak the recipe just a little bit to make it how I like to enjoy my coffee, and if im being honest, it has become on of my most favorite ways to drink coffee. I even experimented making it hot as well as cold and let me tell you, I love both ways! Here we go! Let’s make some coffee!



  • Instant coffee – most other recipes will tell you to use 2 tablespoons, however, that makes the coffee very bitter because it is so much caffeine. I recommend reading the suggested amount on the side of the jar and using that much for your recipe.
  • Sugar – I put about a tablespoon and a half but if you want it sweeter, add more!
  • Milk of Choice – I use coconut milk
  • Hot water – Just about a tablespoon



Step 1: in a bowl combine your instant coffee, sugar and about a tablespoon of hot water.

Step 2: take a hand mixer or if you feel ambitious a hand whisk will work as well. Give the mixture a good beating until it forms stiff soft peaks.

Step 3: add some ice to a cup, fill your cup with your milk, and then scoop your delicious whip right on top.

Step 4: add a straw, stir and enjoy.


For a bit of a variation, instead of iced, heat your milk up and add your coffee fluff to the top for a hot beverage.
